Draft Notes of the meeting of the Parish Council held on Thursday 23rd January, 2025

Meeting opened 19.33pm
25/01 Chair greeted everyone with a Happy New Year message and thanked them for their attendance.
25/02 - 19.34pm - Meeting paused for Cllr Kendrick to present his report. He discussed the A15 road safety issues and funding that has been awarded for an investigation into the junctions leading onto the A15 with a view to the possible installation of lights and/or speed reductions at the most vulnerable spots. There was also an update on Springwell Solar Plantation from the Navenby meeting and confirmation of Lincs County Council full opposition to the proposition.
Further discussion around the plans for Anaerobic Digesters and concerns around the traffic and HGV’s going to and from the sites.
Cllr. White enquired about traffic reduction through Bloxholm, especially the diversion of lorries when accidents occur.
Cllr Kendrick to follow this up.
Cllr White also reported on the small bridge in Bloxhom, which incurred damage due to a traffic collision and has only been repaired on one side whilst the other remains dangerous. Clerk to report on Fix My Street.
Cllr Kendrick also provided clarification on process of applying for Speed Calming Gates to the village.
Chair thanked Cllr Kendrick who then left the meeting.

25/03 Apologies – received from Cllr A Bailey and Cllr S Ryde.
25/04 Declarations of Interest – None received.
25/05 Approval of Draft Minutes from the last meeting- notes of the PC meeting held on 21st November, 2024 presented and subsequently approved and signed.
25/06 Council Tax Increases – no comments received.
25/07 Clerks report on outstanding matters –
80th VE Day plans – email to be forwarded to Village Hall Committee.
Anomaly on Bank Statement – update
PC Web Page has had an update.
Cllr White suggested possibility of using |LCC Volunteers scheme to install flagpole at VH
Environmental Action Plan – email from NKDC. No appetite to participate in the plans.
25/08 A15 Road Safety signage – Cllr R Kendrick already discussed this in his report.
25/09 Springwell Solar Farm – Discussed as above.
25/10 Village gates - advice received from Cllr R Kendrick regarding the application process – see above.
25/11 Financial Report and finalise Precept –
25/11/01Grant amendments received for St Hybalds Church and Ashby Village Hall – accepted and agreed.
25/11/02 Reconciliation and Balance Sheet presented, approved and signed
