DRAFT NOTES OF THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING OF ASHBY DE LA LAUNDE WITH BLOXHOLM AND TEMPLE BRUER WITH TEMPLE HIGH GRANGE HELD ON 21 MAY 2026 AT 7.00 PM.
Present: Mrs L Reilly, Chairperson,

Meeting Opened 7pm
The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting
She voiced her disappointment on the approval of the Springwell Solar Farm and the devastating impact this will have on the area.
The ongoing water leak issue at the top of the hill in Ashby was discussed – Cllr Kendrick asked for the ‘Fix My Street’ reference to be forwarded for him to investigate further on behalf of the PC.
Cllr Reilly spoke of the perceived success of the new village gates and the impact they appear to have had on slowing traffic down somewhat. She gave her thanks to Cllr Eley for driving the project forwards. She also addressed the lack of Councillors on the parish council and the possibility of carrying out a flyer post in the village to bring the matter to the villagers attention, possibly gaining some new interest in becoming a Councillor. The Village Hall, which is doing very well, is also in need of committee members.
Lastly, the Chair is to become a DJ for a new local radio station – NK Radio, which will start off as an online platform. Congratulations offered to her by all present.

26/2 The Clerk gave a report regarding Parish Council finances – copy filed with meeting documents.
26/3 No residents attended, member of public present non resident.
26/4 Cllr Kendrick gave reports on the activities of the County Council over the past year outlined in his annual report.
26/5 Meeting closed at 7.35pm.
