Agenda notes
26/39. Chairman's Remarks and invitation to members of the public and Councillors to speak. The Chair welcomed everyone and gave thanks to J.Eley for all the hard work she had given. A member of public had raised issues of dog dirt around the Church
26/40. Apologies for absence and reasons given. All Cllrs were present.
26/41. i) to receive Declarations of Interest under the Localism Act 2011
ii) to receive written requests for dispensations for dis-closable pecuniary interests (if any)
iii) to grant any requests for dispensation as appropriate. No Declarations were received.
26/42. Draft notes of last meeting held on 21st May, 2026 to to be approved as the Minutes. It was resolved to approve the minutes and for chair to sign.
26/43. Clerk’s report on outstanding matters.
Letter for St Marys re grant – Cllr Lawrence. Dog poo box move – new post installed 11th July – box needs to be moved. Defibs – struggling to find external company willing to do this, emails on file. Grant Thank you’s - Village Hall and CAB
26/44. Gates – update Cllr Eley. On the day the gates could not be installed due to the over head wires affecting the traffic signals. Communication is ongoing to rearrange the date.
26/45. Springwell Solar Farm update/Planning for Navenby Sub Station. An update was given regarding Springwell Solar Farm. It was resolved to put in an objection against the planning for Navenby Sub Station.

26/0577/FUL- Heath Road, Ashby De La Launde - Approved
26/0602/HOUS - Walnut Tree Lodge Temple Farm - Approved
26/48. General Correspondence – Cllr Eley gave his resignation.
26/49. Closed Session - Approval to appoint new Clerk/RFO – signing of contract and change of clerk on bank document. It was resolved to appoint the new Clerk/ RFO. The Contract of Employment was signed along with relevant paperwork for the bank.
26/50. Delegation of Powers. It was resolved to give the clerk delegation of powers to allow her to carry out her job.
26/51. Date of next Parish Council Meeting 7.30pm – Thursday 24th September 2026
