The Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting and spoke briefly about events over the last year -
Springwell Solar Farm proposal is still high on the Agenda and is currently being debated by those in opposition of the proposal – including the Parish.
St Hybalds Church, Ashby is currently closed due to potential subsidence. This is believed to have been caused by an exceptionally dry summer followed by unusually heavy rainfall.
Ashby Village Hall and its need for essential renovation work was outlined. Quotes to be obtained. The Village Hall is integral to bringing the village together and provides many well attended events and activities.
Temple Bruer now has a defibrillator.
Planning outline for a new GCHQ building and modern accommodation facilities at RAF Digby have been submitted to NKDC. This was linked to the speeding issues affecting RAF Digby and the possibility of using temporary cameras to monitor the problem. The extra capacity at the camp due to the above plans is also being discussed in relation to the extra vehicles on the road that may result from the extra head count.
The Dorrington speeding problem has now been resolved.
