2023 Annual Parish Meeting

NOTES OF THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING OF ASHBY DE LA LAUNDE WITH BLOXHOLM AND TEMPLE BRUER WITH TEMPLE HIGH GRANGE HELD ON 11 MAY 2023 AT 7.00 PM.

Present: Mrs L Reilly, Chairperson, 

Councillors R Walker - Vice Chair, Mrs J Wilkinson, Mr W Lawrence, Mr G White, Mr W Lawrence, Mr T Eley,  Mrs C Johnson.

Residents – no members of the public attended

Councillor R Kendrick

Meeting Opened 7.01pm

The Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting and spoke briefly about events over the last year, including the Solar Farm proposal, its potential effects and impacts, and outlining progress so far.   She also addressed the Dorrington speeding problem along with the general consensus that the parish is being overlooked by our Neighbourhood police, having no presence within the parish and a feeling of having been forgotten.  In view of recent vandalism and ASB, policing of the parish is felt to be needed. 
We have installed a new defibrillator in Temple Bruer which not all residents may be aware of – agreement to put out a social media post to raise awareness.  
Thanks to our Chair and Cllr Kendrick were expressed by Cllr Wilkinson for their hard work over the past year and agreed by all present. 

23/1 Cllr R Kendrick gave reports on the activities of the County Council.

23/2 The notes of the last meeting were signed as a correct record.

23/3 The Clerk gave a report regarding Parish Council finances – copy filed with meeting documents.

22/4 No residents attended.

22/5 Meeting closed at 7.26 pm.
